HOW WE DO IT
Your generosity and the generosity of people around the world helped us establish Katuuso Primary and Vocational School in 2011.
We’ve partnered with SewAid International to provide an intensive course in tailoring for 15 women in the community.
We have built a tailoring room with access to sewing machines, fabrics, and other resources.
We’ve hired a highly-skilled tailoring teacher.
We provide English lessons three times a week for 65 adults and school dropouts from surrounding areas.
We provide financial literacy workshops for all our staff.
We have created an agricultural plot to teach local farmers about inter-cropping subsistence with crops that add additional value.
Tailoring trainees now attend weekly English classes, offered through SFL’s Adult Literacy program.
